Somerset wedding photography – Ant and Katie’s wedding at Brympton House

Katie and Ant’s wedding was a truly amazing event and one of my favourites Somerset wedding photography sessions. I had the honor to be part of. The wedding  took place at Brympton House in Somerset near Yeovil and lasted over three days. Closest Friends and family gathered together at Brympton house on Friday evening  for an intimate candle lit dinner at the grand Brympton House Kitchen featuring  medieval stone walls and an old fire place.

Most of the guests arrived at Brympton on Saturday morning and I had an opportunity to take some candid shots of them in the morning sunshine. Katie and Ant were both very excited but relaxed, which allowed me to take some lovely pre-wedding shots. The ceremony was held at the Brympton Church with a finishing touch of a sword arch organised by Ant’s mates- all RAF officers – at the end of the ceremony. This provided us with a perfect classic confetti picture!

After a series of romantic shots around the lake and in the Brympton Garden, it was time for the wedding breakfast. After the ceremony guests moved into the Orangery for the evening party with drinks and dancing.  What a magnificent sight it was when the moon came out and lit the house while the wedding party were chatting and sipping champagne around the camp fires.

Sunday’s programme was traditional English games: archery, cricket and skittles.

The climax of this day’s celebrations was the Father of the bride’s wedding surprise present- the helicopter – which arrived out of the blue with no one expecting it and whisked the newly married couple away for their honeymoon.

Thank you, Ant and Katie, for inviting me to witness and document your exceptionally beautiful wedding.
