Stourhead Wedding Photography
Tory and Mike’s wedding took place at Stourhead – a beautifully landscaped English garden and part of the National Trust in Wiltshire – between Warminster and Wincanton.
The couple flew in from Canada to get married in England, where Tory was born and raised.
Tory got ready for the wedding in her parents’ home in Stourhead – a converted former school full of character and good light, surrounded by picturesque rolling fields.
Just before the ceremony began in St Peter’s Church, Stourhead, I managed to capture the arrival of Tory and Mike’s guests from London and Tory’s pretty bridesmaids in striking blue dresses.
The ceremony was completed with Tory and Mike’s grand exit from the village Church. They were greeted by their friends making an archway for the newly weds with ski poles as both spend a lot of time skiing in Canada.
An unexpected highlight of the wedding shoot occurred when a peacock came from nowhere and landed on the stone wall which surrounds Stourhead Gardens as if he wanted to pose for wedding photos. I managed to capture Tory and Mike with spectacular Stourhead as a backdrop and the beautiful bird perched right next to them.
Once the session was finished, everyone departed to Tory’s family home to continue the celebration under a wedding marquee laid next to the house on an adjacent field.
